Another new pattern is done! This one is called Strawberry circle scarf and is also made from the fanastic Mari yarn by Telespinn (more info at telespinn.no or at the Weaving Shop at the Norwegian Folk Museum).
So here goes the pattern:
Cast on 100 stitches.
Round 1-10: Knit all stitches. The roll up edge gives this scarf an extra playful look.
Round 11: *Yarn over, knit 2 stitches together (knitwise), knit 8 stitches* (9 stitches after the yarn over). Repeat from * to * until the end of this round.
Round 12-17: Knit all stitches.
Round 18: *Knit 5 stitches, yarn over, knit 2 together, knit 3 stitches* (the pattern repeats as earlier but is moved 5 stitches to the side). Repeat from * to * until the end of this round.
Round 19-24: Knit all stitches.
Round 11-24 is one rapport. Knit 6 rapports (or 5 more after the first).
Round 94: *Yarn over, knit 2 stitches together (knitwise), knit 8 stitches*. Repeat from * to * until the end of this round.
Round 95: Knit all stitches and as far as your yarn lasts leaving about 2 m to finish.
Cast off loosely. Voilà! 🙂
Remember to wash and steam the item, gently stretch into form while moist. This yarn is not washed after spinning and will get its final colour and softness after its first wash. Hand wash 30ºC (cold).
